Missionaries | Buddy & Melanie Brents
Buddy and Melanie Brents’s missionary journey led them to Japan, then Mobile, Alabama, and now Houston, Texas. Buddy and Melanie lead the Nations Church Planting Network in Houston focusing on reaching the immigrant population in the city.
“After starting a multiethnic church in Mobile, we sensed the Lord calling us to Houston to start multiethnic churches in the most diverse city in America,” Melanie said.
There’s a lot to do, but a big part of their ministry is hosting new friends in their home. “Everywhere we have served, our home has been a key part of our ministry. Hundreds of people have come through our home over the years for a meal and fellowship. Hospitality allows us to build trust with those we minister to.”.

Buddy and Melanie Brents own a music school where students can learn to play the piano and guitar and take voice lessons.
Mrs. Brents’ seventh-grade teacher invited her to Girls in Action (GA) camp.
Besides starting new churches in the Houston area, Mr. and Mrs. Brents helped start a multi-ethnic church in Mobile, Alabama.
Mr. Brents loves talking with people from other countries about Jesus.
Mr. and Mrs. Brents start their day with the Lord and coffee.
Prayer Requests
Pray that new leaders will help at Nations Church Houston.
Pray that people from the church will continue to tell others about Jesus and many people will choose to love Jesus.
Pray that the Lord will help the Brents start new churches and that many people will learn more about Jesus.
Pray that Mr. and Mrs. Brents will be ready to share Jesus with people from other religions.
Pray for volunteer helpers and teams to travel to Houston and help the Brents tell people about Jesus.
